What is Marriage and Baptismal Certificates?

A statement of fact contained in a certificate made by a religious organization or by law to perform the act certified, attested to by the person administering the act, and purporting to have been issued at the time of the act or within a reasonable time after it. Recognized as an exception to the Hearsay Rule.
