MBE Prep Test 4: Get Ready for Your Bar Exam 2019

This is the fourth BPH prep test to assist you in preparing for the MBE. The test contains 50 multiple-choice questions that are similar to those in the actual MBE examination. A few of the questions may deviate slightly from current MBE question format only if our legal team has decided that they provide instructional value. As you probably know, the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) prepares and distributes the MBE to virtually all of the state bar exam committees, making it a certain part of your coming bar examination. The MBE tests seven legal subject areas: Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Real Property and Torts.

The basic format of the official MBE is 200 multiple choice questions, with each question having four possible answers. The NCBE instructs students to choose the best answer, based on fundamental legal principles and their application to the hypothetical fact situation presented. According to the NCBE, the 190 scored questions on the MBE are distributed as follows: Civil Procedure (27), Constitutional Law (27), Contracts (28), Criminal Law and Procedure (27), Evidence (27), Real Property (27), and Torts (27). There are 10 unscored questions but they are not distinguishable from the scored ones, and all questions must be answered.

The BPH program includes a series of 50-question prep tests that will give you hundreds of questions to hone your MBE test-taking abilities. Just like the MBE, you are to select the best answer from the four choices. There is only one acceptable answer and we do not recognize debates on the correctness of the designated answer. We do, however, welcome your input when you may spot an error in the text or an inadvertent mistake in one of our questions.

The BPH prep tests are not timed. You may take your time and assure yourself of the correct answer before continuing. In that spirit, we also provide you with a ‘hint’ section, which gives you some bit of guidance in finding the right answer. Having extensive practice in this type of non-pressurized exercise leads to powerful learning benefits over the course of our program. Also, an important part of that process is the “explanation” section, which gives you actual legal citations that support the correct answer. You may look up the citations for an extra level of understanding of the answer and evaluate how the court works through the decisional process!
