MBE Online Practice Exam 6 official questions

  • Based on official NCBE content outline for the MBE
  • Updated for April 2026
  • Perfect for law students and bar exam candidates

If you’re struggling with the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), then you’ve come to the right place, as BarPrepHero has several practice MBE exams that you can use to study for the bar exam. For those who may be taking the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE), the 200 multiple-choice questions on the MBE will be worth 50% of your overall score on the bar exam. If you’re not taking the UBE, the MBE will still be worth a significant portion of your score, meaning it’s vital to practice multiple-choice questions ahead of the bar exam. Only two U.S. jurisdictions, Puerto Rico and Louisiana, don’t use the MBE, although they still have multiple-choice questions on their respective bar exams.

The MBE will test the following legal subjects: Civil Procedure, Contracts, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Torts, Evidence, Constitutional Law, and Real Property. The questions on this practice test emphasize Evidence, Torts, Real Property, Constitutional Law, Contracts, and Criminal Law. One thing to keep in mind about the MBE is that although it has 200 questions total, those questions are split into two sessions: a morning and an afternoon session. Each MBE session has 100 questions. To prepare you for the experience of taking one MBE session, we’ve put together this 100-question multiple-choice practice exam. The practice exam was built using real MBE questions from past administrations of the exam.

To accurately replicate the experience of taking the real MBE, we recommend taking this practice test under the same conditions that you’ll face on the MBE. For example, you can start this practice exam at the same time of day that the real MBE will start. (You can check with your state’s bar website to find out the bar exam schedule.) If your state’s MBE starts at 9 a.m., then you can start this practice test at 9 a.m. to get into the habit of answering 100 questions at that time of day. Try taking the practice exam in a quiet environment with as few distractions as possible. Turn off or silence your phone. (On the real exam, you’ll have to turn your phone in to the exam administrators.) Additionally, you can also take another one of our practice tests in the afternoon if you want to simulate the experience of taking both the morning and afternoon sessions of the MBE in one day.
