MBE Online Practice Exam 7 official questions

  • Based on official NCBE content outline for the MBE
  • Updated for April 2026
  • Perfect for law students and bar exam candidates

When you take the bar exam, you don’t want to be in the position of feeling uneasy or uncertain about your chances of success. If you sit for the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) and the multiple-choice questions strike you as unfamiliar, that can be a major blow to your confidence, and if you give in to self-doubt, you’re less likely to pass. A confident test-taker is more likely to pass, and one of the best ways to improve your confidence levels ahead of the bar exam is to practice multiple-choice questions. Every bar exam in the United States has a multiple-choice component. If you’re taking the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE), the MBE will be worth 50% of your score. In non-UBE jurisdictions, the weight of the MBE varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

The MBE has a total of 200 questions, split into two sessions. The first session will be in the morning, and the second session in the afternoon. Each session will have 100 questions and take three hours. To help you adjust to the experience of taking the MBE, we offer this 100-question multiple-choice practice test. The test focuses on Torts, Contracts, Real Property, Constitutional Law, and Evidence. On exam day, the MBE will include these subjects as well as Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Civil Procedure.

Taking this test is a great opportunity to prepare for the MBE by transitioning to the extended nature of the exam. Most of the exams you took in law school likely didn’t have as many as 100 questions. To make sure that you don’t feel overwhelmed on exam day, it’s good to practice the MBE using past questions. This practice test consists entirely of past MBE multiple-choice questions from previous administrations of the exam. Although this exam doesn’t have a timer built into it, you can time yourself to complete the exam in three hours. The real exam will have a strict three-hour time limit. If you haven’t finished all of the questions by the end of the three hours, you’ll have to stop the exam without having completed it. This makes it critical to practice taking the MBE under timed conditions so you feel comfortable answering all 100 questions in three hours.
