What is Declining Representation?

A lawyer shall not represent a client and shall decline when the representation will result in violation of the rules of professional conduct or other law; the lawyer should decline if the lawyer's mental or physical condition impairs the lawyer's ability to represent the client. Rule 1.16(a)
